The purpose of Mini Tennis:
- To introduce young children to tennis in a manner that is fun, active and playful.
- To give each child the opportunity to be exposed to tennis and develop a passion for tennis as a sport.
- To promote participation in the sport.
- To contribute to the child’s development by strengthening motor skills and self-confidence.
- To identify talented young tennis players for the subsequent programmes/levels.
Age groups:
- Grades 00, 0, 1 and 2 children
Equipment:
Age-appropriate equipment (such as smaller raquettes, sponge balls, etc.) are used to help children quickly get accustomed to and enjoy the game.
Skills taught:
Basic rules and skills are taught.The ITF (International Tennis Federation) Mini Tennis programme is used with pre-prepared games and pre-set goals
Lessons:
Presented once a week and last 30 minutes each, only at specific schools during school hours.
Cost:
Pro-Rata amounts are calculated where necessary.

This programme is for all beginners – from the little ones who have been identified during the Mini Tennis programme to the grade five pupil who has just started playing tennis.
Equipment: Each player must provide his/her own equipment. (Where necessary, MCTennis will temporarily supply pupils with equipment.)
Age groups:
Grade 0 – 3 Children
Players per group:
A maximum of 6 players per group
Lessons:
Presented once a week and last 45 minutes each.
Skills taught:
More complex skills, grips and techniques are mastered.
Cost:
Pro-Rata amounts are calculated where necessary.
